New Testimonial - Arc of Violence

Having completed the short film "Arc of Violence" a little while ago, I recently received this feedback from Dwayne Timmons, the film's director and producer. I've worked with Dwayne before on "Pookas Breakdown" which was another great short horror film. "Arc of Violence" is another well executed script, with great direction and has some great actors to complete the picture.

I'm looking forward to working with Dwayne and his crew again in the future, but for now, here is the testimonial he kindly sent to me... "Film-making is a roller-coaster ride of ecstasy and despair. It’s the devil's work, with teamwork as its key source of life. Professionalism is a standard requirement within the crazy world of film art, the rest is raw talent and madness. Andy has shown his true skills as a genuine, great modern artist at work with all the passion, desire and commitment that would be reserved for an artist at their highest level. Thirty per cent of a film’s success is music, getting that ingredient right is based on getting a good composer. Andy has shown to me, that he is able and confident to achieve this.  I've worked and studied under seasoned professionals from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 - with Andy’s creativity, ambition and drive, it won’t be long before his talents will get him noticed within the movers and shakers of the film industry at home and internationally."

New Commission - "Jess and James" - Emanation Films

Just got confirmation of the great news that I will be working with the Emanation Films crew again!

Their latest production (estimated a 15 minute short) is currently in pre-prod (think they are casting right now).

Production will be mid-late March 2013 if all goes to plan (and the weather gets better I guess!) so that will fit nicely with the other two productions I'm currently working on: Arc of Violence (short) and The Lost (feature film).

Arc of Violence is almost completed, maybe another week of effort required there, and The Lost will take a little longer but the sound palette is pretty much sorted.

Sometime in the coming weeks I'll also be publishing the official soundtrack to Spiritual Contact - which will be available via Bandcamp (as is The Point of Regret soundtrack).

Busy, busy, busy!

Work in Progress: "Spiritual Contact" and "Arc of Violence"

Just a quick update... it's been quiet for a few months and then two picture locks drop into my lap in the same week... it's going to be busy!

Spiritual Contact

Emerson Pinheiro has completed the final cut and picture lock for the feature Spiritual Contact! I have a copy of the film and have already started work on it.

We're planning for a January 27th premiere in London, but more details on that soon!

There's been some press coverage though I'm not sure what their opinion is (LOL) http://www.urduwire.com/news/newsdetailimage.aspx?id=764518

Arc Of Violence

After some staffing issues delaying the editing of the film, Dwayne managed to find a new editor and pull this short film together... and it was worth the wait!

It's only 11 minutes long, but it's gritty and moody, packing a lot into that time. I now have the picture lock version I can get cracking on this too.

This film has some great direction and high quality camera shooting. It has minimal dialogue but enough to carry the story by the excellent actors, who really are bringing this alive.

Can't wait to get my teeth into this lot!
